I have a number of older and modern fountain pens. My other dip pen just has a plain wooden body, this one is a lot more ornate, but works just as well, and the nibs are interchangeable, since they git in the same way.
I haven't tried writing with it yet, but since the nibs are the same as my other pen, it will probably work well.
You just have to get used to how much you can write before having to dip the nib again.
